James C. Foxworthy, 64, 306 Park Ave, Hillsboro died Saturday Sept 23, 1995 at 8:31 p.m. in Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis. He had been ill for the past six weeks. He was born in Hillsboro Oct 1, 1909, the son of Herman and Hazel (McCormick) Foxworthy. He was raised in Hillsboro and graduated from Hillsboro HS 1949. He attended David Lipscomb College, Nashville, Tenn. He has lived in Anchorage, AL for 38 years and worked as General Manger of the Alaska News Agency in Anchorage for 34 years where he retired in July 1990. He moved to Crawfordsville in 1990 and lived there until his move to Hillsboro 7 months ago. Mr. Foxworthy served in the US AF from 1950-54. He had attended the Victory Fellowship Church in Hillsboro. He married May 26, 1951 in Waynetown to Bessie E. Ping who survives. Also surviving son James C. Foxworthy , MD of Statesville, NC; a sister, Mrs. William (Marilyn) Wilkinson of Glasgow, KY; two brothers, Clifford R. Foxworthy and Fred Lee Foxworthy, both of Hillsboro. Visitation at Maus Funeral Home, Hillsboro on Tuesday. Service at Fellowship Baptist Church in Crawfordsville on Wednesday with George Bridges officiating.
